World Wide Lab:
A Director's Feast
In September of 2010, a group of directors from the Lincoln Center Lab received a residency at Robert Wilson's Watermill Center in the Hamptons. There we created the World Wide Lab, an international collective of Directors who convene once a year to create a Festival of work based on director collaboration. We've produced shows at the Irondale Center in Brooklyn, Teatro Due in Rome and the Apollo Theatre in Greece and the 435 Art Zone in Taipei. Click the links for our website and various articles on the project.
I founded this company along with Chilina Kennedy and Sara-Jeanne Hosie in 2017 and was Artistic Director until 2020. While with the company, we mounted 3 sold out productions and garnered 17 Dora Nominations (2 awards), over 20 Broadwayworld Nominations, and 2 Toronto Critic's Awards for those shows. We also created a Musical Theatre Lab where we brought 13 creators together for a week long creation process that led to a public performance of various pieces created throughout the week with a group of performers and directors called HELD.
